I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
Ok manager was relaxed and very nice, felt at ease. She asked good questions and explained everything very clearly. All the co op rule and and structure's where explained well.
First had a few introductory questions and then I was asked 5 behavioural questions that I was sent beforehand and then there was just some talking about the role and general principles.

Interview
I recently had an interview for a Customer Assistant role at the not yet open Scala Co-op in Bath. I don't feel that I was given a fair interview during this process. The interviewer essentially skipped over the actual interview questions and rushed through formalities and extra information. As I was never told to provide a CV, I was asked about previous job experiences, and told the interviewer of previous jobs, which didn't include any shopfloor or retail experience. As he seemed to be rushing the process, the real interview questions were skipped over, I presume to save time. I was told that I likely would be unable to answer these questions due to a lack of experience. I feel that this didn't allow me to make a case for myself, as I have still had other jobs with transferable skills that I could have discussed. This makes it seem as if being rejected was always going to be the outcome, no matter what I said, and therefore was a complete waste of time.
