I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Bungay, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
Relatively straightforward. Did a quick maths test which wasn't overly difficult. Spoke with a manager about the job and the role for a little while. They were positive even though it was my first ever interview and I was clearly nervous!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You are working in an aisle and you see someone who looks lost. Would you approach them, and how?
I applied online. I interviewed at Co-op (Glasgow, Schottland) in Jan 2023
Interview
Difficult interview compared to other supermarkets as they ask 5 specific behaviour questions e.g explain a time when you have done something. Questions like when have you built a relationship with someone, when have you had to stand up for yourself or someone else in the workplace, when have you had to go to someone else to help solve an issue.

Our interviews in store aren't designed to be difficult so we're sorry you feel this way. Our questions aren't reliant on you having had any specific experience but on behaviours and values as we believe that it's you as a person that matters. Before the interview every candidate gets an interview guidance pack and we have feedback that tells us this is really useful. We hope you took time out to read yours before your interview.
it was a very quick easy interview, none of the questions i prepared for was asked. the interviewer just told me about the role and asked me why i would like to work there and that was is.
