Was provided with fictitious branch statistics prior to interview as I had to give a presentation on a plan for my first 90 days in branch. These included branch performance, customer satisfaction, market variances and plan sales in comparison to the 'best performing branch in the region'. The interview itself was very professionally done and I was made to feel relaxed from the start with some general conversation. I then gave my presentation, which lasted approx. 10 minutes, giving the panel the opportunity to ask questions if required. Once that was complete, I was asked 5 behavioural based questions which had also been provided prior to interview. I found the process very comfortable and as long as you are prepared, it can be quite enjoyable.

Interview

They also gave all questions they were going to ask before the interview which meant I could properly prepare

Question 1
Describe the role you played in supporting change initiative taking place at your company or elsewhere.
A pre-application assessment tested for unnecessarily narrow skillsets, The assessment took a really long time and the report generated at the end was incredibly negative about my performance and suitability for the role. I felt discouraged by the experience and ended up not submitting my application. It is the only time in my job hunt that I have been asked to participate in an assessment prior to submitting an application and this was not a good experience for me.

Question 1
In the assessment they asked for sets of data containing three short paragraphs, occurring over six separate pages to be reviewed and for 18 true/false/cannot say statements to be answered within a six minute time restriction. Only one page and statement could could be viewed at one time and they did no automatically relate to one another- the pages had to be navigated to find the related data.
