Interview
I was hired into Cognizant 9.5 years ago as a sr business analyst in India. I was interviewed by recruitment team first and then by CIO of Cognizant ( she called me from US to India). Based on my experience and academic background they made a decision quickly ( within a week). I havent given any interviews since then

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cognizant in Mar 2010
Interview
- First screening with the HR. They ask you about your previous experience, why you are looking to quit, why do you want to join the company and why technology consulting. They also grill you on your previous salary and expectations from current job.
- Next interview with a Senior manager from the Company. Basic behavioral and situational questions. Nothing too complicated as long as you know technology and SDLC. Must have an answer to why consulting.
- Last interview is typically an inperson or phone client interview. This lasts for 1 hour or more and is generally very specific to the particular project that they plan to assign you on. It's like a standard consulting interview except they might go in detail on anything on your resume.
