Cognizant Programme Analyst interview questions

Interview was very straight forward. Started with a General Aptitude round followed by a 15 minute Technical interview which was simple. Those selected where sent for a final personal interview with the HR.

I got the interview invitation for Java through cognizant HR team. The recruitment happened in PES Modern Engineering College where there were a huge number of candidates who appeared for the process. There was an amcat coding and mcqs test conducted by aspiring minds which I was able to crack. The twist in the recruitment process was that those who got higher marks in the amcat test were directly eligible for HR round and those who got passing marks had to go through technical + HR. This was ridiculous. First time I could see such an inappropriate recruitment process by cognizant. I had completed my test at 11:45 am and my result was announced at 4 pm. Then they kept us waiting till 7 pm and suddenly they realized that there were around 100+ candidates who were left for technical interview and then they decided to change their hiring process. They again conducted a coding test and the evaluator was one of the lab assistants from modern college. I had written my code correctly and had handled all the cases but due to some reason the evaluator wasn't satisfied with my result. I would like to convey this to cognizant that please be fair with your recruitment process. Don't play with a candidate's future. If you really want to hire good talent then own it up for yourself. This is a very disappointing recruitment process held ever.
