I applied online. I interviewed at Collins Aerospace
Interview
The interview process was very easy. I applied online, received an invitation for interview from the manager I would be working under, interviewed the next week and revived an offer very soon after.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Collins Aerospace (Chula Vista, CA)
Interview
The interviewing/hiring process was going well, until it wasn’t. I had a first round interview with the hiring manager and he mentioned that he wanted to move forward to a panel interview. The recruiter reached out and asked for my availability for that week and the following week.
The following Monday, the recruiter reached out to tell me that my interview would be for 12:30 pm CST (the hiring team was in CA so 10:30 PST).
At 12:28pm CST I received a message that my interview had been canceled. Literally 2 minutes before my interview was set to begin! I messaged the recruiter and even called him, but I didn’t hear back from for another 45 minutes. When he finally called me back, he said that the hiring team decided to hire internally.
While I understand that, I’m sure the team knew on Tuesday and probably even Monday that they were going to hire internally, so why even book me for a second round interview, or not cancel sooner?
While I was initially VERY upset, I’m sure I was saved from working with horrible team and company, take takes no regard for the people they employ. If they’re willing to waste a candidates time like that, I can only imagine how they treat their employees.
I had two zoom interviews and I thought they went great! I hear anything after two two weeks so I attempted emailing the interviewers. They completely ghosted me. I am not sure I ever heard that I officially didn't get the job.
