I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deel (Barcelona) in Nov 2023
Interview
I had a good time during the interview process. The recruiter call was super clarifying and professional. Next, the hiring manager was able to explain carefully about the role, the team's current challenges and what they were searching for in candidates. I was glad to align all expectations from the beginning, which motivated me to move on. Next step was an interesting 1-hour product challenge, where I presented a solution and the interviewer raised interesting questions. During this phase, the conversation was really fluid, and he made me feel as if I was already part of the team. Finally, the last interview was with a product director to ensure we were all on the same track. I received a good offer after that, and accepted it. Now I'm excited and confident that I have done the right thing! :)

Question 1
How would you go about solving this hypothetical problem ____?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Deel in Jun 2026
Interview
The first screening call was pretty straight forward. But the second one was very messy. The interviewer taught that I was a client and was completely zoned out. His focus was not with the interview.
He didn't mention the purpose of the call, didn't talk about the position itself. He said he is going over questions on the screen and there is a scorecard. There wasn't genuine interest, so I felt like I would get rejected afterwards, as there wasn't any mindful listening to what I was saying. He assumed some things instead of clarifying them. He looked bored from the moment he joined the call :D
7 rounds of interviews, with a case study solving a live problem. Confirmed that I cleared all the rounds, got me to give them 2 references. Then suddenly went quiet, and came back saying they gave the offer to someone who took the role at a more junior position
Phone screening, hiring manager, case interviews. All pretty straight forward with no trick question. Went through CV and experience as well as motivations for the role. Talked about relevant experiences to the role requirements.
