I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dollar General (San Antonio, TX) in May 2015
Interview
I was lead throughout the store with explanations of various roles I would have and asked if I could fulfill those tasks. After agreeing that I could we talked about rules and regulations, how the next step in the process would go and what to do and I was sent on my way. The next step was a background check but mine took a week and in that time someone else who applied for the job had already gotten it.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dollar General (Sacramento, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
Got called approximately three days after filling out online application. Asked to come in three days later for interview. It was informal and we walked around the store as the manager talked and asked me a few general questions. Was offered a position and accepted. The overall atmosphere was great and very friendly.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Dollar General (Nashport, OH) in Aug 2015
Interview
Very informal. Applied online. Two months later got a call. Took another two week s from there. Simple questions, such as, "What is customer service to you?" and "Do you think you can handle it?". Interviewed one-on-one with the assistant store manager. Interview was last minute, so I had very little time to prepare. When I was called, I was asked to come in to talk a few hours from the interview.
