I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Jan 2010
Interview
An initial phone screen conducted by a software developer, obviously he didn't look at your resume and asked general questions to collect information about you. After that, you are arranged a skilltest to be taken at a local place, which consists of 5 programming questions, these can be found here or at careercup. Then they invited you to Madison to have an onsite interview, which consists of a person-to-person interview explaining one of your projects and other IQ test/ easy programming test. They collected your transcripts and references. Then you are done.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Oct 2008
Interview
The first interview on campus was just about behavioral questions, no technical questions.
The recruiter was a person at the same role, ie. SDE, in Epic, basically he asked about my educational experience based on my resume, but no questions about previous project, and he introduced a lot about Epic's culture, what it was like to work there, etc.

Interview
Still in the interview process. I initially received an email via Monster.com. I applied on the website and received an email a few days later asking me my availability for a phone interview and asking me to take a Rembrandt personality profile. The phone interview was scheduled by the following day. The phone interview was simple--nothing really technical. I found it to be fairly informative about the company, though I did have some of my own questions prepared. The day after the phone interview I received an email to set up a skills test. The skills test, though, has not yet been scheduled.
