I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Nov 2025
Interview
Initial screening is a 4 hour long “skills assessment” consisting of 4 different sections, each are timed. There was also an initial information session, which was more of a presentation than a proper interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The skills assessment felt very similar to an IQ test. The first two sections of the assessment were IQ style questions, the third section was over a made up programming language, and the last section was two programming problems.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Feb 2026
Interview
Got an assessment with a 2 minute sections, a math sections, a programming section, and a section where they create a new programming language and you answer questions based on that, then a final interview. The interview was 2 info sessions, a case study, and a conversation with HR/Recruiter.
I applied online. I interviewed at Epic in Sep 2024
Interview
Epic heavily considers the skills assessment they use. The interview day/process is more of a chance for you to learn about the job. I interviewed originally for Quality Manager, so there was a case study portion of the interview where I was given a list of tasks and asked how I would prioritize and manage them. Then, I listened to a couple of role overviews and had the opportunity to ask questions. At the end of the day I touched base with my recruiter.
