I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Apr 2009
Interview
Communication with company was primarily through email and phone calls. There was an online examination, a phone interview, and then a round of interviewing at their facility. They contacted me back when they said they would with their answer. Their interviewing was intense, but they just wanted to see how you would function in their environment.

Question 1
A time you had committed to a deadline but couldn't meet it
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Apr 2009
Interview
Started with a very basic phone screen. Next they required a skills assessment and logic test that were relatively simple. The onsite portion was an all day series of interviews, panels and group discussions and lunches. Overall it was very laid back and not very stressful. The culutre seems relaxed and you are able to interview with people who actually work in the position you're interviewing for.

Name three things that you've done that have shown initiative.

Interview
Right away in the interviews you can see that Epic has a very relaxed culture. Since they have an ongoing hiring process and you're not gunning for a specific job position the process can move as quickly or as slowly as you like. If you are extended an offer you get to select your start date. They stress that they have a casual dress code, but recruits rarely believe it. If you show up in jeans and a t-shirt for the interview you will earn some bonus points (nothing official it seems, but they like to see that you're capable of fitting in).
The interview process will feel a little redundant. There are many layers of interviews and tests, and some of that information might not make it to the next layer until after you do.
