They got back to me quickly and generally were very responsive. 1. Recruiter call 2. Call with a current designer 3. technical design challenge I didn’t move on after this point but they instead referred me to apply to the TSE role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you want to end up in 5 years? What do you want in a career?
I applied online. I interviewed at Epic in Jan 2023
Interview
long assessment ~ it took 5 hours to complete (very frustrating and archaic) phone call interview with a designer on their team (basic hr questions, backgroudns story etc..) No offer recieved
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Jul 2022
Interview
1. I applied online.
2. I did a phone interview with one of the existing designers
3. I scheduled a 4 hour (!!) online proctored exam where they tested a lot of different skills in areas that are completely irrelevant. Some of the questions were extra quirky and probably just there to gauge your personality. I thought I did really poorly but apparently I didn't.
4. I was asked to complete a UI design assessment where I was supposed to spend a maximum of 10 hours on it. This just exists so that they know you're actually capable of designing things and not riding off the coattails of other classmates in your projects
5. I was invited to go to campus for an on-site interview, which took about half the day. In my case I was also invited to a dinner with a few employees.
