I applied online. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jun 2023
Interview
There was initially a 3 hour asynchronous online test, then a full day of behavioral and case interviews. On full interview day, I was also asked to prep a presentation that was 10 minutes long in advance on any topic
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you prioritize certain escalation on a project
They will ask you to do an OA. The test hasn’t changed in years so you can prepare. Programming medium leetcode and so is questions. Primes and permutations. They reply very fast. Pleasant but takes a lot of time.
The interview process at Epic was organized but ultimately disappointing. Despite having advanced certifications and years of relevant experience, I learned they offer the same $70K salary to every project manager—regardless of background. No room for negotiation, no consideration for expertise or added value. It feels less like a competitive opportunity and more like a take-it-or-leave-it deal.
If you’re early in your career, it might be a stepping stone. But if you bring experience to the table, be prepared to feel undervalued.
