I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in May 2025
Interview
Final interview is about 3 hours with multiple Zoom sessions. You're told about the role, you do a case study, a 10-minute presentation, and then a one-on-one with your HR person. Overall, really straightforward. They got back to me within 2 days.

Interview
For the interview with Epic I had 2 exams, one of which was a personality fit, the other was a 4+ HOUR PROCTORED exam (similar to an SAT). The exam featured everything from engineering questions, math, science, reading, and logic. This was UNPAID and at one point, the proctor could not get their system to work, so I had to reschedule for a second 4-5 hour block of time. I would not recommend. When I asked why I was taking this as it was unrelated to the role, I was told that "Everyone takes the exam." Which I suppose could mean everyone from the CEO to the custodial staff?

Question 1
I had the proctored exam after meeting with the recruiter and first hiring manager. I never got to any round where they were asking about me specifically.

Interview
Multiple rounds of testing, phone interviews, presentations, meetings, etc.
I genuinely enjoyed the required testing. There were some fun logic questions and some challenging coding questions that I hadn't done in years. Scheduling what seemed like a thousand rounds of interviews and tests was annoying. I was offered a position as what seemed like a hybrid dev and IT position instead of an integration engineer, but I declined.
