Interview
Knowing how to code is very important to having success in this process. Starts with a general meeting with an employee to go over what the job is and tell you about the company. They then give you an assessment.
Multiple rounds of phone interviews, formal proctored exam, and creative presentation required during the interview. Speak to people in your future role and HR folks. Some group interview questions included as well.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Epic in Mar 2021
Interview
The first round was a phone call lasting around 30 minutes, pretty standard interview questions like why are you interested in the position, etc. Then they sent me a "non-technical" assessment which was a proctored test lasting a long time, I can't remember exactly how long but it was at least a couple hours long. It was comprised of a lot of logic and pattern recognition with some coding and math involved. For a non-technical assessment it seemed rather technical in my opinion. I did not make it any further in the interviewing process after that.
