I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Sep 2009
Interview
I was interviewed on the phone by someone in the technical department. He was very nice. Wanted to know a lot about my background. He was not particularly concerned about the specific programming languages that I knew but more focused on my problem solving skills. I have been invited to take the skills test assesement skills and I am looking forward to it.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Oct 2009
Interview
The interview was smooth. The phone interview screen appears to evaluate how much you know about the company work environment (which is apparently very cult like, an inside joke is "don't drink the Kool-Aid") and pay expectations. They want to make sure you are going to be hard working, willing to travel often, and not be frightened of their unheard of MUMPS/Cache database. The skills assessment involves about 5 short programming quizzes which takes 1-2 hours.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Aug 2009
Interview
I have recently started an interview process with Epic. A recruiter contacted me saying they found my resume on Monster. I had to take a personality test, which was easy. Then a phone interview, which was also very general, nothing technical. And then a skills assessment test. I have still not got the results of the skills assessment. But the questions seemed pretty easy.
