Interview
I applied online and they reached out to me about setting up a phone interview. And the interview was fairly short and no technical questions were asked at the time.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Feb 2017
Interview
Found through a career fair and submitted my resume right then and there. I was told I could also submit it online to speed up the process, but I forgot. Received emails within the next couple weeks. Had to take a personality test which I thought was a little strange. Had a pretty relaxed 30 minute phone interview with someone in the same position where we talked about the job. Pretty standard questions about why I wanted to be hired and wanted to hear about any projects and experiences. Took a 2 hour skills assessment test which required video recording. Tests problem solving skills and critical thinking. Also involved some basic coding, but prior knowledge is not necessary. Received response within the next week about status. Did not receive an offer, which was fine.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Mar 2017
Interview
After submitting a resume, they emailed to schedule a phone interview. It was supposed to be 30 minutes long but I spent an hour talking to a guy that works in the same department as the opening. I was later invited to an in person interview. That process involved having all expense reimbursed in order to visit Verona, WI. They took a group of applicants out to dinner, then the next day, we were taken to their campus. We spent all morning and the early afternoon with the interview process. The itinerary was: company overview and software demo, talk with a person that works in the department, a tour, lunch, HR interview (the shortest thing), and a programming skills assessment.
