I applied online. The process took 10 months. I interviewed at Fortinet
Interview
Overall interview process from start to getting an official response was 10 months.......yes 10 months. Really bad interview process overall consisting of about 5 interviews.
1st - with the hiring manager
2nd - with a few members of the team a bit technical but also a get to know
3rd - was the worst being a lab style interview on top of technical questions with TAC support involving reviewing a wireshark output. Also told on this interview ping was not an available option.....in what world do you restrict engineers to not be able to use such methods for troubleshooting
4th - another interview about SOAR although it was nothing of my background
Also a minimum of 2 years working in the professional services role is required by the company before moving in to any other roles.
Overall they decided to pass and glad they did because if this is their interview process I can only imagine what the company is like overall.

Question 1
Review a wireshark output and confirm why a url is not accessible, troubleshoot a DHCP/DNS issue on a virtual fortigate, look at a diagram and recommend what you would change (for example adding HA servers, etc.), how would you respond to a scenario where you are leaving to another client and the client you are leaving needs you right away - let's be honest the politics of management deciding "which client is more important" is what will dictate this decision, no right answer on this
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2021
Interview
well, there were 2 interviews, technical and one with the hiring manager.
the Technical interview took around 90 minutes, but I really enjoyed it. there were 3 skilled engineers, they were friendly. at the beginning of the interview, I was worried and scared :P. but they made it very easy for me.
The type of questions was general, but also technical.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (London, England) in Sep 2020
Interview
I spontaneously applied for a job offer on the Fortinet career portal, after some time I was contacted by HR for a first screening consisting of an interview (experiences, life, logistics, expectations, etc.), two online tests, and received positive feedback I made a technical interview with a senior engineer and given the positive outcome of the interview, a presentation to a technical audience and manager.
My experience was truly wonderful, the interview, the availability, the ability of the company to meet in a not very easy working period, all pluses that I have absolutely not found in similar selections made for other companies.
Would I recommend it?
Of course yes!
