I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (Bengaluru) in Feb 2020
Interview
Horrible Interview Experience - Experienced NEPOTISM.
This is the second time I was shortlisted for a role and I was called by the same recruiter who interviewed me 2 years ago and never felt the need of giving me a feedback till date. This time his assistant girl who was terribly wrong in her attitude over the call and email reached out and asked me if am interested in the position.
They interviewed me (with poor questions: firstly being what's your current salary and next being when can u join) and called me all the way to travel to Bangalore, I was treated very unfairly. Some sort of nepotism exists where 80% employees are hired if you are from South belongining to Telgu community. They never got back to me for 6 months of constant follow up and not gave a feedback also. Same trend which I saw 2 years ago repeated. Highly disappointed.
During a situation like Covid, such recruiters need to be sacked for not being there for job seekers who are desperately looking for job and playing with our emotions.
I read a lot of reviews on internet about this company but my poor interview experience has changed my opinion. Am not a wrong candidate or a bad hire, it's people like these who can frustrate u in difficult times of job hunting.
Suggestion to management: first take a technical test of this recruiter to understand if they know what we do in our jobs before wasting our time and telling us " will get back to you" and "this position is closed or on hold" because he knows nothing technically.
Thank you for your candid feedback. We are sorry that you had a bad interview experience. Fortinet is a company which exemplifies respect to all our stake holders including candidates. I will look into this personally.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Washington, DC) in Feb 2019
Interview
You will have an initial interview with the Professional Services manager that is in your geographic area . If you pass you will then have 2 technical interviews. Apparently, somebody in HR thought it was a good idea to have somebody in the TAC do the final technical interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The 2nd technical interview was done by an engineer in the TAC which didn't make sense. You will be shown a packet capture from Wireshark and then have to interpret what problem you see.
