Following an initial phone interview, I was asked to meet the team in person and prepare for a combination of case study, and general discussion.
The first meeting was with two directors and global practice lead via Video Conference. I had prepared for the meeting, however the VC took 15 minutes to work properly and the head of the practice said, ok, I have 15 minutes, here's a situation (real life client situation) - I'm the CIO, tell me how you would tackle this issue, you have 5 mins ..... I think I did ok, but I was prepared for a deep discussion, not a 5 minute elevator pitch ... after he left, I continued a more friendly and in depth discussion with the two directors in the room.
I had a second meeting two weeks later - A General discussion with HR and senior country management. After about 15 minutes talking about the objectives of the role, what their growth targets were, I was offered the role. The director also came into the room and started talking about where the key issues they had, some of the clients which I was going to work with - after the meeting we walked around the office and I was introduced to the wider team.
