Initially, the interview process was very similar to most other mid-level Sales Account Executive positions.
- 30 minute phone screen with a Sales Manager: introducing yourself and going over your resume and professional background
- Face-to-Face meeting with a Sales Manager: a more personal level diving deeper into your resume, filtering through your past sales experience, core competencies, understanding of the company and what you can bring of value to the sales organization
- Office Shadow: one-on-one meeting with a tenured senior account executive (why are leaving your current employer? why glassdoor?), and most importantly selling yourself, sales cycle and presentation skills to the big dogs!
If you successfully prove your a fit and solution for the role, expect an offer upon this breakdown.
A meeting with a particular Senior Level Sales Manager was eventually one of the main reasons why I accepted the offer. She structured the meeting more comfortably and different than I have ever experienced. It was unique and was set around throwing the stereo-typical "sales he/she-said mambo-jumbo" out the window.
