Question 1
Describe a time when you were very busy and how you handled it.
Thanks for your feedback on our interview process. We focus our initial phone screens on getting to know each candidate to assess their skills / background. While not everyone is a fit for the role, we try to make this as engaging as possible. - Jon Hammer, VP of Business Operations
I applied online. I interviewed at Glassdoor in Apr 2022
Interview
A recruiter for the company reached out to me and I had my first round of interview through phone. I was then offered a second round of interview. I was rejected about two days of doing this interview. Why refer me for a second interview if my experience is not what you want? They kept emphasizing the queue in this entry level job. I never said I had that type of experience. So don't waste people's time. The lady intended to hire for June so why waste my time proving an ad in April. Also, the job ad listed a salary higher than what they are offering. They ask you for your zip code and based on that they determined your salary range. I was below 40k.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process was smooth from start to finish. I applied and heard back about a week later for interest in interviewing. From there, I had a screener call, a video call with the hiring manager(s), and then a panel interview with a performance task. I was given an offer 24 hours after my panel.
I say the interview was 'difficult' because it required a performance task which always increases difficulty from a time and investment perspective but is valuable to determine the 'right fit' both for the job seeker and the employer. Glassdoor was amazing at providing clarifying links and resources to support the development of the performance task and guide thinking.
The hiring team was positive, timely, and great at providing feedback and setting realistic expectations for the hiring timeline.
I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on your interview experience and glad to have you on the team! Interviewing is such an important process for our team in terms of making sure we are setting expectations accurately and giving both the hiring team and the candidate the tools to make an informed decision. Your positive feedback is an indicator that the process is working. Keep the feedback coming regarding what it's like in the role! - Kira Dewey, Interim Head of CS
