I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (Washington, DC) in Nov 2025
Interview
The interview experience was overall pleasant. Applied and a recruiter reached out within a week. Had a recruiter pre-screen, then 2 interviews and an informal chat with the hiring manager

Question 1
Why the role and why google?
Tell me about a time AI eliminated job responsibilities and how you handled it?
Tell me about a time you had to deal with conflicting priorities?
Interview process took over 8 months with multiple rounds. The interviews were pretty straightforward but the duration was ridiculous especially when no offer was to be made. Engagements with the recruiting staff was favorable though
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google (London, England) in Oct 2025

Recruitment Process Summary
• Step 1: Screening call with the recruiter - covers salary expectations and a high-level vague overview of the role.
• Step 2: If successful, a video interview with the hiring manager.
• Step 3: If successful again, you’re invited to a multi-round “loop” process.
I didn’t pass the hiring manager stage - mainly due to inadequate preparation, as I initially assumed the role was more senior than it actually was given the job title. So prepared anticipating higher level questions.
At Google, what most companies would call Scrum Masters are often titled Program Managers.
Also one thing to be mindful of Google share interview outcomes by video call. So do not get hopes high if after the interview they would like to book in a call with you.
