Interview
I applied online and was emailed to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was 15 mins and the interviewer was super nice and kind. I was asked pretty easy questions and was super comfortable talking. Later the same day I received another email notifying me that I had been invited to the store for an audition. When I came in there were only to other applicants and we waited for a little bit then were invited into the back. We had a really nice, friendly, comfortable conversation about the job and she asked us some simple questions some about H&M and some about our own experiences. After we went out into the store and were told to walk around and try to help customers for 10 mins, then we hung clothes up on the racks in the store. Everyone was super sweet and nice. Just do some research on the company values, initiatives, and collaborations before the interview! After the audition (which was on Tuesday) I got a call back with an offer on Friday.

Applied online, received an email to schedule a phone interview. About a week after the phone interview was invited for an in person one on one interview and got an offer a week later
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at H&M (Philadelphia, PA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Applied online on a Friday night for a job opportunity for a new store, which is opening in September. Got a call from the hiring manager on Monday morning inviting me to a group interview being held on the upcoming Saturday, and then promptly asked about my availability and why I was interested in the job..
Group interview, led by both the hiring manager and branch manager, involved working with other applicants doing specific activities to assess our attention to detail and customer service skills, and then shortly afterwards, a solo interview is held, where we further talk about availability, wage, and skill/experience related questions.
At the end of it all, the managers say they will let me know within the next two weeks whether or not I got the job.
Got a call from the hiring manager on Sunday (literally the very next day) to come in Monday (the day of this post), presumably to answer more questions about my experience and skill. Turned out, it was just to offer me the job on the spot.

Have you ever had an experience, as a customer, with an employee in a store that was negative? How would you have done in that scenario had the roles had been reversed?
