I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&M (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2013
Interview
The interview process was lengthy but fairly easy. I went through two different interviews, and it took a while to hear back. The interview was 1:1, and I was asked questions on my work experience, and scenario questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me questions pertaining to past retail experiences... i.e. Tell us of an experience with a troublesome customer. What did you do?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at H&M in Sep 2015
Interview
It's a four step process. First, you have a phone interview that lasts about 5 minutes. Then you have two other interviews where they ask basic questions and scenario questions, and the last one is the job offer where they explain the benefits and working for the store, etc. They may repeat questions in all three interviews since you're interviewing with each manager and supervisor of the store. Each interview was probably 15 minutes or less.
Depends on the store though.
If you have a long line of customers that are ready to pay, you're the only cashier, and a customer comes up to your side to ask if you could get them a shirt and there was no other employee in sight, what would you do?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at H&M (Croydon, England) in Mar 2011
