I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at H&M (Portland, OR) in Sep 2010
Interview
If you know people inside the company it's easier to get into a position here. First interview is your typical getting to know you, why you want to work there, telling you what it'll be like, etc. Interviewers were really nice, friendly, didn't seem like an interrogation.

Question 1
What you thought of H&M first time you walked in. Didn't know what to answer (it had been messy, disarrayed, etc) but that's what they expected to hear because they know it's a busy store.
I left my contact information at a cash register in store. Employer told me that management team will contact me when students as a part-time employers will be needed. Store manager contact me 10 days after and I went to a interview. She asked me have I worked in a store before, to tell something about myself and am I flexible considering working time. Few days later I worked for couple of hours as a probation period and after that I was hired.
