A skills based phonecall with questions on the technology role you've applied for (JS, Java, scala etc), followed up with an code exercise to do at home, and then an interview. You'll also get asked on examples of certain competencies (mentioned in the job spec). Check out the Civil Service competency framework for examples so you have some ready.
