I applied online. I interviewed at Hopper (Tarboro, NC) in Oct 2021
Interview
It was a bit weird as everything was done through an instant messaging app. Not sure if I can trust this as legit or not. Not a lot of questions were asked when I was told I had the job. I’m wondering has anyone else had the same experience? If so, was it a legit offer??

Question 1
They really didn’t ask many questions. They were all very basic.
We're sorry to hear this happened to you. We do not communicate with candidates via instant messaging apps so the person you were in touch with is not affiliated with Hopper. All of our open positions are always listed on the Hopper Careers webpage and please be advised that our team will reach out via a Hopper email address.
Received a text message on my cell and was instructed to download whatsapp business. Interview was easy and pay was great, but I am not sure if this is even real.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Hopper (Renton, WA)
Interview
Received a video interview request within ten minutes of applying online and had the interview with the hiring manager who is also the direct report that week. Interview started off friendly and conversational but then it took an interesting turn when the interviewer asked very specific questions that seemed to fish for information for the company’s benefit. For example, the interviewer asked for names of contacts in the market. That seemed odd for an interview, and felt more like something that should be discussed after being hired. I avoided giving names because it didn’t feel right. Next day, I received a generic rejection email. Other reviews that mention interviews feeling like the company fishing for free information seems about right.
