I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at IBM in Feb 2011
Interview
The position I applied for sounded like an exciting one with great potential of advancement and professional growth. But the process made me feel not so desirable. Maybe sometimes big firms like this have too much paperwork and standard protocols to go through. Haven't figured out the final results yet, and still waiting to see whether I get to proceed with it or just no hope already. But the interview was pretty straightforward and asked typical behavioral questions and consulting/customer service related issues.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Jul 2007
Interview
The first round was a phone interview. Questions were generally on my background, skills and past experience. I was asked to come on-site for another round of interview. I interviewed with about 6 of the leadership team individually. It was intense. They covered everything from job experience, skills, why this position, career goals, fit with team and a couple of case questions thrown in
