I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2015
Interview
Manager wrote an email to me and set a phone interview with me first. He said the decision will make after couple weeks, but the process took over 40 days. Then, he sent me another email for a 1:1 interview.

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Jul 2015
Interview
I give my resume for an IBM collaborator. His manager contacted me by email scheduling a call interview. This first interview was more about my behavior at specific situations working in a group. He told me about his work group, what they are developing and what tools they use. He also told me that the next step is a technical interview with some engineers from his group.

Question 1
What do you do if you have an idea of a better solution than that one your group is working on?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IBM
Interview
I submitted a resume through a current IBM employee. I had a brief phone interview that only briefly touched my technical experience. I then took an aptitude test and that was that. It turns out it was an easy interview because they were not looking for specific technical experience (certain programming languages or what have you) but instead looking to see if you would be able to pick up on whatever would be thrown at you once you arrived.
