I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IBM (Durham, NC) in Feb 2019
Interview
I was reached out to on LinkedIn to come to an information day on their local campus, then a week later was contacted about items on my resume that were relevant to a summer intern project they wanted completed. In our emails I was told about the problem and a general solution they envisioned (an IoT project), so in preparation I spent a day going through my past projects and drafting up my own detailed solution to their problem.
Spent 5-10 minutes doing a few introduction and general behavioral questions, then most of the interview was centered around my solution and why I chose to do things the way I did. I was constantly bringing up relevant experiences in past projects to explain/defend my choices. Last 5-10 minutes of the hour were spent on questions I had, then I received a verbal offer at the end (Yes, the interview process was only one hour long).
Got the official written offer probably about 1-2 months later (common experience for other interns too).

Question 1
This interview was a while ago and I don't remember any specific questions, but nothing was too difficult/unexpected. Just be prepared to talk about any and all relevant experience and how it relates to the position.
Really good. Interviewer was pretty interactive and friendly. The question was well posed and left a lot of room for interpretation and asking questions. The interviewer did lead the conversation.
