I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IKEA (New York, NY) in Nov 2019
Interview
IKEA Recruiter reached out to me for an interview, scheduled for a week from initial contact. Day of call she asked to reschedule and told her I couldn't. Things went downhill from there.
Talked about P&L statement experience. The position doesn't list that needed skill and it's not on my LinkedIn profile. I don't have any experience in that area. Talked at length about P&L during the interview.
25% Travel, but you'll probably travel more than that in your region. Couldn't tell what the geographic region is I don't have it on hand.
Does the position use SQL queries, what database management are you using, what propriety ERP software does your company use.
No SQL, doesn't know, and AS400.
Asked if my salary requirements are negotiable.
After this I came to the conclusion that the reason she wanted to reschedule was because she wasn't prepared.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Contacted by hr for a 20 min phone intreview, then went in for a in person interview in Burlington head office. Had a good chat, mostly behavioural questions + questions on my experience. Received a call back from hiring manager a week later with an offer

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at IKEA
Interview
Got a call several months after initial application to schedule a phone interview. Having passed the phone interview I was to be contacted later by HR for an on site interview. The whole process dragged out due to holidays during the summer. The interview included a personality test working through a business case. They told me they were interviewing several others after me and that they would not get back to me until they had talked to all the others. Overall the recruiting process was very long from start to finish.

The case was presented very briefly on a piece of paper and I had 15 minutes to think about my approach.
