I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ING (Minneapolis, MN)
Interview
Met with an HR person who didn't know much about the position or what qualifications would match with the position that was open. He asked typical HR interview questions about my previous job experience but nothing that was trying to get to real experience. After he found out that I had made more money then the position offered it was clear he made his mind up that I was not a qualified candidate and never asked a substantial question that meant anything. He was not a person who made the interviewee feel like this was a great place to work. I told the other employees I interviewed with that the HR person was not going to recommend me for the position, but that I was interested in finding out more and wanted to work there.

Question 1
He didn't ask any hard questions, I think he looked at resumes and had no idea what the job he was filling entailed, and he had no idea of the jobs of the folks coming into interviewed had been in. He was not a recruiter for sure, he was not even a good interviewer, he was a home office employee in the wrong position.
