The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
From Recruiter call, where you will be briefed on the entire process I had a data challenge and then a stats round followed by onsite where there were questions based on algorithms (white boarding), data science challenge and question related to A/B testing

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
The interviewer contacted me and then went on a long holiday, after a few emails, he replied back and gave an assignment. I finished the assignment within 2 hours, but got rejected because i made it in a different approach (and arguably much better) than they required.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked to design a game.
It's a dot popping game, if you go on glitch.com and search 'dot game' you will find it.
Although the game was simple, but doing it in a better way than suggested in their instruction is for some reason not acceptable to them.
I made the game with in js with full type check, unit testing and integration testing, documentation and it turns out it was beyond them to understand. They are looking for people with low skills in js , who write spaghetti. I got know this because, after getting rejected i checked a person who got selected there has spaghetti code for the assignment.
In my experience, if you want the job, write dumb ugly spaghetti code, with no types, test or anything fancy, cause that is what they want.
Phone Screen > Homework assignment > In-person interview
The in-person interview involved presenting my portfolio to a number of people, some in the room and some dialed-in remotely from another office. The sessions that followed were mostly 1 on 1, and involved reflecting on past experiences or coming up with design solutions to challenges.
