Intel Corporation Packaging Engineer interview questions

I was an internal hire (from Engineering Technician position). The process was smooth, sometimes I wouldn’t hear back from my hiring manager for days and then all of a sudden I got a call with the offer. Many questions about my college experience and projects but not as many as the ones I got for the Engineering technician position - I assume that once you’re inside, is “easier” to move up the ladder. Work performance and former manager’s recommendation I think we’re crucial.

Phone interview about my research. Followed by some open ended questions. The interviewer was nice and friendly. At the end of interview he described the hiring process and his role in the team. I was supposed to be informed by hiring manager but never heard anything for a month. After a month received reject.
