I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Intel Corporation in Oct 2017
Interview
I was referred to the position by a friend and had a phone interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was nice and asked some good technical questions about my research, however I wasn't able to advance to an in-person interview because of a deadline to accept an existing job offer. Intel is a great company, but I wasn't about to turn down another offer just to continue the interview process here.

Question 1
Describe your graduate research, why do you want to work for Intel?
I was an internal hire (from Engineering Technician position). The process was smooth, sometimes I wouldn’t hear back from my hiring manager for days and then all of a sudden I got a call with the offer.
Many questions about my college experience and projects but not as many as the ones I got for the Engineering technician position - I assume that once you’re inside, is “easier” to move up the ladder. Work performance and former manager’s recommendation I think we’re crucial.
