I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
First there's a HR interview, very short walk them through your research. Next was an informal manager phone interview, and last was onsite interview, 30 minute presentation followed by 2-30 min interview with more managers. Overall, they help you get a good understanding of what the company is like.

Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter and setup an initial phone screening. Was told toward the end of the phone screening that the hiring manager/ group director will be calling me in a couple days for the second phone interview. I was offered an on-site interview by the manager.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA) in May 2017
Interview
Gave a 1 hour presentation in the morning followed by about 6 hours of 30-minute one-on-one interviews. I was a little confused sometimes because a few times people were subbed out and they would even seem confused. Most discussions revolved around what the job would entail and I get much opportunity to speak until the problem solving questions.
