Roughly an hour long process with the Area Manager and Store Manager in the staff communal area. Competency questions as well as scenarios (what would you do) questions and a walk around the store looking for positives and negatives and feeding these back to the managers.
You're working on the shop floors on your own and you notice a que is building up at the tills. You also notice a spill on the floor and that there is a lot of stock to put out. What do you priorities and why?
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Cirencester, England) in Nov 2018
Interview
Had to do an online test where you where given several different scenarios with a selection of multiple choice answers and then chose the answer that suited what you would do in that scenario the most. If the online test was successful you were then invited to attend an interview which was 1:1 with the store manager.
