I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Aug 2016
Interview
Started off w/ Recruiter chat, which was decent. Then a Technical Phone screen - 2-3 questions in 45 minutes using a shared code editor.
I had a great experience with the recruiter conversation, but the main issue was that the guy leading the technical phone screen was incomprehensible. He had me on speaker phone in an echo-ey room and had a very thick accent. It made it very difficult to hear and understand both the problems and his prompts and additional questions.

Question 1
A coding question that was more of a trick than an algorithmic problem to work through.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Sunnyvale, CA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Interview Process was professional but the interviewers were not up to the mark.
Got a call from the recruiter for phone screen.
Round-1 technical phone screen, 3 questions 45 mins , collabedit.
Onsite- 4 rounds 1 hour each + lunch
Interviewers represent the company and it's culture, linkedIn is a network of professionals, I think they should give some training to the interviewers about representing the company culture.Few of the interviewers were not at all friendly and their body language impolite. This puts undue pressure on the candidate who is interviewing, and gives negative impression of the company.
Result: I am assuming I am not selected, never heard anything back from the recruiter (It has been 3 months), again very unprofessional :) I hope someone from LinkedIn reads it and do some work on the interview process.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Mountain View, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
First a phone screen by a current employee in the Global Sales program rotation. Basic behavioral questions and checks to make sure you know about the role and company.
2nd round interview still on the phone with someone of the recruiting. Again, mostly behavioral with a stronger focus on why you think LinkedIn is the right place for you, as well as why you think technology sales is a good career path for you.
I received a call about a week after the 2nd interview to be informed that I was not selected to advance. Final round would have been onsite at LinkedIn.
The whole process occured rather quickly and all the employees were cordial throughout the process.
