I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Sep 2016
Interview
The recruiter asked me both general and LinkedIn-specific questions, and introduced me to what kind of work LinkedIn does. For the hiring process, the next step is a technical interview over the phone, and it was scheduled immediately during my general interview.
I was out of town for a conference on that day, and I asked the conference organizer for a spare room to do the phone interview. Fortunately, my presentation was scheduled on a different day.
PS: This is an internship position.
