Interview
Hiring process is Ok.
The teams in mountain view are weak in asking questions...
It is better with the onsite interview at Bangalore but even this is not great....
There is a lot of scope to get quality talent on board that just average or above average.....
May be you should look to take only IIT/IIM or MS in top engineering colleges .....
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about general Data Engineering/Programming questions....
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LinkedIn
Interview
Got contacted to talk to the recruiter for a little bit. He gave me clear expectations and told me about the interview process, one technical phone interview, then another one, then a decision. I was given the first phone interview but then they decided to move on to different candidates.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Very friendly and efficient but too many rounds. A few phone calls first with HR, Hiring manager, peers and colleagues before meeting in person in their office. Seemed Very consultative and consensus driven, where every body had to weigh in (interviewed with 13 people!)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Quite empathic and compassionate interviewing, pretty classic questions overall, big on personal values to check cultural fit. Cultural fit seemed paramount and to trump experience, skills and expertise:
Explain your Prior experience and concrete achievements in the fields that relate to the ones you are being interviewed for?
Why LinkedIn? How would you describe what LinkedIn does to your friend
In situation tests and behavioral questions (how would you design this training? How would you react to this particular situation?)
What are your values? Why? Give examples when your values were being breached and what you did about it? Was it successful or not? why?
