I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Chester, England)
Interview
It was very nice and I am nervous because this is my first interview after my graduation. The hiring manager is very cool and he introduced himself and started asking questions regarding the position I applied. almost I answered most of them.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group
Interview
Overall a very poor interview experience. Probably the worst I've ever had. The job description (which was poorly written to begin with) did not match up with the position that the team were hiring for. I spent a significant amount of time preparing for an interview based on the given job description and the interview itself took a completely different turn. Also, I was questioned on all 5 culture values on my first interview. It seems that Lloyds is more interested in culture-fit as opposed to actual role-fit. And I was rushed from one culture question to the next in an awkward one-way type conversation with no follow-up questions. The 2 role-fit questions were actually 4-part questions which made little sense, and again no follow-up questions or digging to find out more about my responses or reasoning. I actually came away from the interview with no excitement about working at Lloyds as the whole process was so poorly handled and reflects on how business is conducted within. Also there was no screen interview to kick the interview process off and had to wait over 2 weeks for a response.
