Lowe's Home Improvement interview questions

Applied online. Contacted the next day to schedule an interview. Interviewed 1:1 with three different people: HR Manager, Department Manager, Operations Manager. Was told I would hear something in a day or so.

I appied online for the Sales Manager position where I filled out the application, pasted my resume, and filled out an 85 question on line assessment. The next moring I was contacted by the HR Manager who set up an interview for the following morning. When I was called in to the HR Managers office I was told that the Sales Manager position had been filled the prior day. She offered me a position as a sales associate at 9.35/hr. That was quite the blow seems the job I was called in to interview for was approx. 50-60k/yr. The HR Manager seemed uncomfortable and pinned the belame on the store manager saying that she had to fill the position by a certain time the previous day. She did not appologize for the confusion on their part nor did she elaborate. She was quick to change the subject and explained that 7 people had taken the lower position when told Sales Manager position was no longer available. She also said that if any other positions that interest me come up I couild call her directly. I believe this was a communication breakdown between store management and I have recently applied for another position. If this is to happen again I will not be so forgiving.
