I applied online. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Chapel Hill, NC) in Jan 2019
Interview
online resume submission followed by a phone interview then followed by an in store interview. They are very strict about their interview window of time. They asked if hired would you work ALL shift hours without more than possibly a day's notice. I said no to the 6am shift and that was the end of their interest in me. They were up front about requiring a drug test and that it would take a few weeks if they were going to offer you the job. From communicating with others who have worked there the sales people are viewed as disposable more than as a real asset. Even though I was applying for a late shift they kept bringing up the idea of starting at 6 am; which I told them was out of the question. Seems like that was all they were really interested in.

Interview
Had a brief phone interview with one of the assistant general managers of the store who asked basic questions about myself and my availability. Once selected for an in-person interview I recieved an email with the date and time. The day of the interview I was asked more basic questions and it went by very quickly. In order to get the job I had to do a police background check through the company.

I had a phone interview and afterwards I received a call to set up an in person interview with the manager. She ended up not showing up so someone else interviewed me and was hired on the spot.
