I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer
Interview
The Interview process is quite simple. A basic application via there recruitment website and than a questionnaire. The great thing about M&S is that they let you know on the spot weather you have an interview or not . At the end of the application when selecting review if you have passed the interview it will allow you the option to book an interview slot imedietly where as in most cases if you have failed or the interview slots have been booked they state that the application is being reviewed and they will contact you shortly. However, for previous M&S employees the interview process is far more easier as you have to call HR recruitment to book you in for an interview which cuts out the lengthy application.

Question 1
Interview questions are pretty straight forward . Why do you want to work at M&S ? What can you bring to M&S? Tell us about your self? after the basic standard questions you will be asked to take part in a short role play where they will provide you a sheet with information about products and promotions and you will try to provide customer service to your interviewer(who will pretend to be a customer) .
I applied online. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer
Interview
The interview was very informal - more like a chat. Got asked about my previous work experience from my cv and the skills I gained from those experiences, Lasted around 10-15 minutes.
I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Bristol, England)
Interview
Was nice and simple - and the questions were good and they were really engaging in everything I was saying felt more like a conversation rather than an interview. Loved it everyone should apply to marks and Spencer’s big up
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Cumbernauld, Schottland) in May 2026
Interview
The interview itself was very awkward, with no formal start to it from the person that I spoke to. I went into the store and asked the only person who didn't look busy, that person ended up being my interviewer however he didn't tell me that until we sat down in an office and the interview started. It really confused me which I think affected my performance
