Quite informal, mostly asking about my reasons for applying to them specifically - I recommend looking at their welfare and environmental status, and the fact that their brand is associated with higher quality food

Question 1
Why would you choose to work at M&S rather than at another supermarket?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Sevenoaks, England) in Nov 2014
Interview
they`ll ask you a lot of the usual questions: why do you want this job? how did you find out about it? etc etc. everything pretty standard. then they`ll give you a role play task to do, don't worry, you`ll have a few minutes to learn the main points (not long enough to learn everything though), then you`ll act out the situation given with the interviewer playing the customer who has a problem ( in my case it was a customer who was vegetarian and didn't know what to get for a dinner party for vegans only).

Question 1
why working for M&S?
have you ever worked in retail? if so, tell me about a good and bad moment you`ve had while working.
do you plan to move elsewhere soon? as I said before, all standard questions.
I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (London, England)
Interview
Very chilled out interview with a few questions about simple stuff like what you would do in a confrontational event. Really nice interviewer, felt more like a chat than an interview.

Question 1
What would you do if a member of the public was being confrontational?
I applied online. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Glasgow, Schottland) in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview lasted about 40 minutes, with a lot of questions about how you have handled situations previously and why you are a good candidate for them. Overall, an average interview just come prepared with the latest news and up to date product knowledge of the company.
