I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at McDonald's (Baton Rouge, LA) in May 2010
Interview
The interview was largely based on a manager referral which happened to be a childhood friend. I filled out an application, submitted it and then took a multiple choice test. This test was very much a personality test which has a score card that the manager places over the answer sheet and grades your work. After that I was sent downtown to the main office, processed in and got my uniform.

Interview
Ok interview. Took about 15 minutes. The manager seemed personable; asked me about my previous experience working as a cashier. Went over responsibilities of the job, growth opportunities, expectations. Pretty generic questions, whether I had interviewed with Burger King or Sonic Burger.
