Medtronic interview questions

Recruiter was super helpful, the hiring manager was great, and meeting the team was a good way to better understand the day-today work and challenges facing the organization. But they had me meet with more senior level leaders that didn't make sense... they weren't involved in the marketing division directly, but I think they were down a marketing VP... overall it lead to over a month of random and confusing interviews (9!) without an offer. Felt like a huge waste of my time despite the Hiring Manager and their Director telling me that I was their first choice and that they wanted to make me an offer. It just left me feeling like there is a leadership issue there.

Had an in-person interview with the hiring manager, then a virtual panel interview. It was clear from the very beginning that they had someone in mind for the role, and even asked me how I would handle getting the role over someone internally who was also interviewing for the role, and how I'd make working with them go smoothly. I'm a professional, but this was the worst interview I've ever had. Multiple gotcha questions, and any time I answered a question with my experience, they downplayed my experience saying that this was a hard sales job, as if I'm not already currently selling medical devices in an equally if not more difficult market. Also the guy asking these questions wasn't even the boss, he was a fellow Territory Manager. The whole thing was bogus.
