I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Meltwater (New York, NY) in Sep 2019
Interview
I didn't even get to have my phone screen. I submitted my window preference and received a confirmation that I was good to go. On the day of my interview, my interviewer showed up 10 minutes late to the phone call. I was working full-time at the time and couldn't wait around forever. The recruiter apologized and asked if we could reschedule for later in the day. We found some time for after my workday and I took off a little early to do the interview from home. The interviewer didn't even call or send a follow-up email. I get that people are interviewing and want to be a part of your company; however, practice basic human consideration and understand that people take time out of their schedules to job hunt.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Meltwater (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
Initial phone screening with one person, and then another phone interview with a second person.
The first interviewer was extremely professional. However, the second interviewer was extremely unprofessional. She stayed at her desk (in an open-office space) and attempted to interview me while her coworkers talked very loudly around her. At one point, I asked her, "Is someone talking to you." And she responded that she's in an open office space, so there's always jabbering around her.
I made sure to carve out time and find a quiet place to do the phone interview, but my interviewer did not seem to find the latter necessary.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter within a couple days. There were 3 interviews total. From start to finish the process took less than 3 weeks.
The first 2 interviews were phone interviews, first with the recruiter and then with the managing director. Both were typical phone interviews.
I was invited back for a 3rd interview on site. This was a group interview that consisted of 4 other candidates and lasted about 3 hours. Mainly this was to observe your people skills and how well you do with others. We did a couple of group activities and then you were asked to give a brief introduction of yourself.
Afterwards, everyone was dismissed and were told we would receive a call within the hour if chosen to move forward to the final interview that same day.
The final interview was a panel interview that lasted an hour. There were several role plays to see how you handle situations. They're observing personality and how you present yourself over experience. This part of the interview is to see if you're a good culture fit.
Overall I didn't feel it was difficult process. If you're honest and can easily walk through your experience and background, you'll do fine.
