Meta Product Designer interview questions

Fairly typical three rounds. Phone screen with a recruiter, video chat with a few designers (app critique, past work review), virtual on-site with more designers and design managers (past work presentation, background interview, app critique, whiteboard design challenge). Everyone I talked with at every stage was incredibly kind and thoughtful. I felt seen as a person and like the team was rooting for me. Ultimately, I didn’t get an offer, but received feedback as to why. It may sound like a no-brainer, but being on a high-functioning product team at your current company is a VERY important element in their decision making process. Do whatever you need to do to be on a good team that actually ships work - even though much of that is beyond your role. It’s frustrating to know you’ve got the skills to be hired, but are anchored down by a low-functioning product team.
