I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA)
Interview
Initial interview (post screening) with a UX researcher. Goal was to select a product and walk through how I would evaluate a change in UX for that product, including pros and cons of selected method.

Question 1
How might you go about testing the impact of [stated change] on user experience of that product?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Mar 2023
Interview
Recruiter reached out about quantitative uxr openings.
1. Informational recruiter call. Not really screening, just going through background and interview process.
2. Screening interview. Hypothetical situation: suppose there is a certain problem with the product, how would you go about researching it?
There were also some statistics questions.
3. Virtual onsite. But hiring freeze happened before my scheduled onsite, so I'm not sure about the details.

Question 1
- What research method would you choose for this problem?
- What other methods would you consider? How do you choose?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (London, England) in May 2021
Interview
First round was a recruiter interview asking about my experience. Straightforward and nothing too complex.
Second round was an interview with two researchers in the US. The questions were based around giving you a research scenario and asking you to explain how you would approach it and what your methodology would be. The question was vague and high level but it was difficult because I could tell from my answer they didn’t think it was a good approach. The overall experience with the researchers was quite negative they didn’t make me feel comfortable and I felt like they were looking for problems in my answers which made me more stressed and contributed to me not performing to the best of my ability.
The next step would have been an offsite but after this the recruiter told me I hadn’t got through and that was the end. Wouldn’t interview again based on this experience.

Hypothetical Qs: imagine you have an app that all of a sudden sees a drop in engagement in Thailand compared to the US. What research methodology would you use to solve this?
